This project was the new development of a clinical dental practice, part NHS, part private on the site of an existing car park.
Sustainable design solutions were incorporated for the building and a bespoke structural timber system was provided with some use of masonry restraint walls and steel beams.
The foundation solution utilized an efficient vibro ground stabilisation technique thus enabling traditional lightly reinforced strip and pad foundations to be used with a ground bearing concrete slab.
The existing car park drainage was re-used to maximise design efficiency and the overall project costs came in under budget.
