Project Details
This refurbishment project involved the redevelopment and extension of an existing hotel building in central London to create the new Four Points Express by Sheraton. The works included both vertical and horizontal extensions together with significant internal refurbishment and façade replacement works.
We carried out detailed structural assessments of the existing building to determine its suitability for the proposed redevelopment, including load assessments associated with the additional storeys and façade upgrades. Our role included the design of new steelwork framing for the extensions together with structural modifications to the existing beam and pot floor construction to accommodate the revised layouts and refurbishment works.
The project also included the design of new below-ground drainage infrastructure to support the redevelopment.
