Project Details
The Sports Hall and Facilities Building at Harris Academy Battersea involves the delivery of new education and sports facilities on a constrained school site. The scheme required careful structural assessment due to the presence of existing piled foundations installed as part of an earlier residential development.
We were appointed to assess the existing piles and determine their suitability to support the proposed new sports hall building. This required detailed consideration of pile capacity, load transfer, structural arrangement, and the most efficient way to reuse existing below-ground infrastructure.
Our role includes the design of new ground beams spanning between the existing piles, together with the design of the steelwork frame for the new sports hall. We are also providing drainage design to support the new building and associated external works.
