Project Details
The Kings Cross refurbishment project involves the redevelopment and extension of an existing building in central London, including the introduction of a new double-storey basement and associated rear extension works. The scheme required detailed engineering coordination to address the complexities of constructing below ground within a constrained urban environment.
We provided the Basement Impact Assessment and drainage strategy required to support the planning submission, together with the structural design of the proposed extension and basement works. Our role also included the design of structural modifications to the existing floor construction to facilitate the refurbishment and redevelopment of the building.
In addition to the structural works, we designed new below-ground drainage infrastructure to support the development.
