Paradise View

Paradise View involved the refurbishment and conversion of Beneficial House in Birmingham city centre to create residential accommodation. The project combined residential redevelopment, structural assessment, vertical extension considerations, highway works, and significant third-party infrastructure coordination. 

We provided full civil and structural engineering services for the refurbishment, including load assessments to determine the capacity of the existing structure to accommodate the proposed vertical extension and redevelopment works. The existing building and city-centre location required careful coordination of structural interventions and construction constraints. 

A key aspect of our role was the preparation and coordination of submissions to Network Rail due to the presence of a tunnel beneath the building. Our involvement also included Section 278 works and associated infrastructure design to support the development.
