Project Details

Townsend Mews is a facade remediation project involving the structural assessment of an existing timber frame building to support proposed facade replacement works.

We are providing structural engineering input to assess whether the existing timber frame and primary building structure are capable of supporting the proposed new facade system. The assessment considers revised facade loading, load paths, support conditions, and the interaction between the replacement facade and the retained timber structure.

This project requires careful consideration of the different behaviour and capacity of timber framing compared with more conventional steel or concrete structures. Our role supports the wider project team by identifying structural constraints and providing advice to help facilitate the remediation works safely and effectively.
