Unit 8, Newhouse Farm, Chepstow

Unit 8 at Newhouse Farm, Chepstow involved civil and structural engineering input to support the redevelopment and upgrade of an existing industrial building. The project included significant external yard works together with structural assessment associated with recladding and overcladding proposals. 

We provided full civil engineering design services, including the design of a substantial external concrete service yard exceeding 10,000m2. The yard design was developed to support operational vehicle use, loading requirements, drainage performance, and long-term durability. 

From a structural perspective, we designed the building substructure and undertook load assessments to determine the suitability of the existing structure to accommodate recladding and overcladding works. This helped ensure the proposed building upgrades could be delivered safely and effectively while integrating with the wider civil engineering design.
