Project Details

Wembley Point is a landmark high-rise refurbishment project involving the conversion of an existing office tower into residential accommodation. The scheme required detailed assessment of the existing reinforced concrete frame to determine its suitability for long-term residential use, together with structural interventions to facilitate alterations to the building profile and external amenity areas.

Working closely with the wider design team, we undertook comprehensive structural assessments of the existing building, including condition reviews and load assessments associated with localised extensions to the perimeter of the tower across multiple levels. We also assessed the existing roof structure to accommodate the installation of a Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) as part of the façade and maintenance strategy.

In addition to the structural refurbishment works, we delivered the civil engineering design for new external areas associated with the residential development, including car parking and a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
