Ysgol Gyfun Gwent Is Coed, Duffryn

The new school unit and sports hall at Ysgol Gyfun Gwent Is Coed in Duffryn required coordinated civil and structural engineering services to support the delivery of new education facilities for Newport City Council. 

We provided full civil and structural engineering design for both buildings, including piled foundation design, structural design of the new school block, and steelwork frame design for the sports hall. The new block required reinforcement detailing to support construction and ensure clear coordination with the wider project team. 

Our civil engineering role included Section 278 highway works and SAB submissions for both buildings, supporting the required approvals and ensuring drainage and infrastructure requirements were fully integrated into the development.
